¶ About Mutant Vinyl Hardcore
Mutant Vinyl Hardcore Toy Co is owned and operated by Rich Montanari (aka LASH, LAstdyingwiSH). Founded in 2010, MVH produces Sofubi inspired by Horror, Monster, Sci-Fi and Fantasy culture.
After many successful years of custom-painting vinyl toys, the artist set out on a journey to make original toy designs of their own, capturing childhood toy influences while incorporating aspects of Japanese kaiju and yokai realms – sculpting, painting and designing packaging for all release in-house.
Notable early works include Sludge Demon – the small, grinning monster and Ollie – a giant Cyclopean beast. Notable collaborations include Clutter, Headlock Studio & Punk Drunkers.[1]
