Iconic Japanese toy and apparel brand Bounty Hunter was originally founded as a clothing store by Hikaru Iwanaga and Taka in 1995.
With a specific interest in Star Wars memorabilia and referencing the character Boba Fett, the name Bounty Hunter was created.
As well as selling apparel, BxH sold American vintage toys, but mostly kept them on display – until two years after the inception and opening of BxH in Harajuku with the production of the Kid Hunter sofubi, based off a t-shirt design by Sk8 Thing.
Inspired by toy and punk culture, Bounty Hunter started to gain traction and popularity in the Harajuku District of Tokyo where its original flagship still stands.[1]
